What is Line Dance?

Line dance is group dancing that does not require a partner.

It is a choreographed, repeated sequence of steps and you will be dancing to various genres of music like country, swing, rock, blues etc.

Researches have found doing line dancing can reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s diseases and other form of dementia in the elderly.

Benefits of Line Dancing:

  • Teach you how to dance –If you can’t dance, don’t worry because  Line dancing teaches you step by step to actually move your body.
  • Teach you basic footwork – Learn how to do triple steps, turns and spins, rocking steps and many other steps that you will use in every form of dance.
  • Lubricates your joints – Line dance improves cardiovascular system, and help your joints stay healthy. When you move your joints, your body releases more water, which will spread over the cartilage surfaces. As your joints go through their full range of motion, the cartilage is covered with that lubricating fluid.
